MISSION STATEMENT

The Martintown Fire Department will, within the authority of the By-Law:

Provide Fire Prevention and Emergency Response Services to the citizens fo their assigned area, South Glengarry Municipality, and Eastern Ontario, and their visitors, in that order of priority;

Provide limited support to local community events and facilities;

Provide support to Department firefighters and their families in times of need.

 

VISION STATEMENT

The Martintown Fire Department will continue to provide high quality training to its firefighters, and suppression, prevention and education services to the community. The management and training processes used by the Department will take advantage of current technology to ensure the most efficient and effective programs possible.

Management functions will continue to be assigned to interested and qualified individual firefighters to ensure that workload is distributed and to provide ownership and continuity in and of these functions. Cheifs, Captains and function leaders will seek out and encourage potential leaders from within the membership and, through formal and informal training and assignments, will ensure that knowledgeable and capable replacements will be available for their "jobs" when they retire or resign.
